The “Might Mac,” officially known as the Mackinac Bridge, stands as a remarkable engineering feat, ranking as the seventh-longest suspension bridge in the world by total suspended length and proudly holding the title of the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere. Since its opening to traffic on November 1, 1957, it is an iconic symbol of Northern Michigan.
